"I love the idea of taking two beautiful little girls and just drenching them in blood.”
A photography business specializing in horror shoots, sometimes involving children have become a buzz of controversy.
Melissa Trotter and Jason Jeffrey once focused their company, DxE Photography on lifestyle and portraits to blood, gore and intentional controversy.
Their first project was inspired by a video game and involved a 13-year-old girl, dressed as a cheerleader carrying a chainsaw, ready to kill zombies. Soon after they did a photo shoot with two girls, pig intestines and fake blood made from chocolate syrup.
This project touches on the very real issue of abusive relationships.
While they have received criticism for the bloody brutality, many women live in this fear and brutality every day. So shining a light on it is heroic.
