Leave all your worldly possessions at the door…including your clothes. A pop up restaurant is open in the UK for the month of June, 2016.
The restaurant is said to be a “secret Pangaea-like world” which is free from phones, electric lights, electric cooking and clothing.
The restaurant has a steep waiting list of 12,000 people. The little pop-up can only seat 42 people at a time so I’m pretty sure there will be a long line of san-clothing people at the door.
The food is all wood-flame grilled and served on handmade clay crockery and edible cutlery.
The Bunyadi – named after a Hundi term for ‘base’ or ‘natural’ will have a naked and non-naked section along with changing rooms and lockers for your clothing.
We all envision beautiful male and female models eating their food at this curious restaurant. But I have to tell you I don’t think that is going to be the case.
One time while I was in Jamaica, I was getting a massage with a friend in a little cabana over looking the ocean. The entire massage we kept hearing, SPLASH and people groaning or laughing. At the end of the massage my friend and I looked out over the ocean to see a naked cruise. The splash, people jumping naked off the plank into the ocean. The groans were if someone’s entry into the water looked painful to their exposed body parts. Now let me fill you in, these were not beautiful models jumping sleekly into the crystal blue water. These were mostly over 50 seniors, not in any kind of shape to grace the cover of Vogue. But I will give them credit for being proud of their bodies and comfortable with all their friends and strangers seeing every crack and cranny.
So, while you envision getting a glimpse at a Heidi Klum or Chris Hemsworth, I think maybe you should manage your expectations and go in with your eyes wide-open…or closed if that suites you better. 🙂
